Darwin hip hop group DT3 have reunited after close to 5 years apart to perform at the BetEasy Darwin Triple Crown.

Anyone that follows the Darwin music scene instantly recognises the name DT3 when mentioned. The group hasn’t performed together since the 2nd of January 2015 when they played a tribute show dedicated to their best friend/DJ Mitchell “RFaktr” Russell who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in December 2014. The group left the scene immediately after due to personals reasons and have reunited to perform a hand full of shows, both for their long-time supporters and for those who never got the chance to see them at their peak.

DT3 members Liam Devine (MC), Nathaniel Polkinghorne (MC) and Tor Trethowan (Drummer) have always pushed boundaries and raised bars with their lyrics and performances. To back up that statement they boast a resume that most would think impossible to gain as an independent hip hop group from the NT. During their run they performed alongside the likes of The Hilltop Hoods, Illy, Thundamentals, Briggs, Ice Cube, Xzibit, Drapht, Lil Jon, Scribe and 2pac’s group The Outlawz just to name a few. This list of impressive support spots is combined with multiple NIMA nominations, NT Song of the Year People’s Choice (2014) and releasing a track featuring ARIA award winning artist Illy which reached number 1 on Triple J’s Unearthed Overall and Hip Hop charts.

Promising a mixture of their classics, new material and their signature live show creativity the group insists these shows are not to be missed. DT3 will perform after racing on Sunday 16 June.
