Porsche PAYCE Carrera Cup

Venue · Hidden Valley Raceway · 14th-16th June

As one of the region’s best sports car series, Porsche PAYCE Carrera Cup Australia is off to a bumper 2019 season.

In 2018, new Pro and TAG Heuer Pro-Am drivers to the championship came in conjunction with the successful introduction of the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. Born on the 911 production line in Stuttgart, the second-generation 991 series 911 race car was faster, safety and more affordable than its predecessor, and proved in 2018 to improve the overall racing experience for Carrera Cup Australia’s teams, drivers and fans trackside.

The 2019 season is well underway and proving to be just as competitive as ever: After the first three rounds, the championship has already proved hugely competitive with former Supercars racer Dale Wood and rising star Jordan Love fighting it out at the top of the standings.

After qualifying on pole and winning a race in Darwin last year, David Wall will return to try and win the round, while Nick McBride, Michael Almond, Warren Luff, Cameron Hill and Cooper Murray make for a talented field.

Looking forward to racing at his home circuit, Territorian Thomas Maxwell has impressed in his debut Carrera Cup season and could be a chance for a home-town podium.

Carrera Cup continues to race at Australia’s largest motor racing events, beginning the season at the popular Adelaide 500 and Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix events and concluding with the iconic Bathurst 1000 and Gold Coast 600. The Porsche PAYCE Carrera Cup will set the track alight as part of Round 4 of the Championship at the BetEasy Darwin Triple Crown.
