The Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, formerly V8 Supercars Championship, is widely regarded as one of the best and most entertaining motorsport categories in the world. It is now becoming globally recognised as the best touring car category in the world and a leader in motorsport entertainment.
With an incredible history dating back to 1960, Supercars has always delivered exhilarating and accessible motorsports-led entertainment to engaged and passionate fans, creating a proud and aligned set of partners, race teams and employees.
The sport has a footprint that spans the length and breadth of Australia, with races in every state and the Northern Territory and a single international fixture in New Zealand.
Signature events include the Superloop Adelaide 500, Watpac Townsville 400, Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, Vodafone Gold Coast 600 and the season-ending Coates Hire Newcastle 500.
Each of these events has consistently been the largest in each respective state, with crowds averaging well in excess of 160,000. In many cases, Supercars events are the largest single event in their respective states.
Round Seven of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship will venture to the tropical capital of Australia, at Darwin’s Hidden Valley Raceway for the BetEasy Darwin Triple Crown Supercars.
The elusive Darwin Triple Crown will feature Race 15 (120km), a Top Ten Shoot Out and Race 16 (200km).
